History

David Brookings is a solo singer/songwriter who sounds much more 1966 than 2009. He mixes catchy hooks and harmonies with driving guitar rhythms to great effect. David has released 4 albums on his own, and has sold nearly 5,000 records as of Jan 09. He works during the day as a tour guide at Sun Studio on Union Avenue, and is constantly writing and performing all around the mid-south. His career highlights include a solo tour of the United Kingdom in Feb 07, and his latest album "Obsessed" was named the 4th best album of the year by the International Pop Overthrow.

Influences

Hugely influenced by the Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, big 60s fan.

Current status

David's as yet untitled 5th record is nearly completed, and will be released in mid spring 2009.
