History
The Sheriffs of Nottingham, a band based out of Memphis is comprised of young talented musicians. Band members Justin Jamerson and Kyle Fagala played together for 5 1/2 years during college in a rock and rap cover band. In 2007 they decided to join with local guitarist Kevin Lipe and bassist Curry Smith.
The Sheriffs of Nottingham is a rock and blues band whose sound reflects the grittiness of Memphis.
Their first concert was a benefit show on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Caritas Village in Binghampton. From there, they participated in and won a 10-band Battle of the Bands at the New Daisy Theater. "Memphis has a rich history of both blues and rock and roll music," said lead singer Justin Jamerson. "Combining the funkiness and authenticity of blues with the raw energy of rock music seemed like a cool idea." The Sheriffs of Nottingham look to bring their fun and unique sound to bars and clubs across the Mid-South.
