Beginning as a band in Louisville headed by a fourth-grader as lead vocalist, and now a family band in Memphis, The Summers has come a long way.
Before coming to Memphis, The Summers show cased through out Kentucky and Indiana, in such events as the Mayor of Louisville's annual New Year's Eve Spectacular and Radio Disney. The boys headed their first charity Benefit in March of 2008 in Louisville for Kosair Children's Hospital.
On the third day of June, the family relocated to Memphis for the boys' father's profession. Upon their arrival, they played at Auto Zone Park, Court Square for the Center City Commission, and were seen on Live at 9 within only two weeks of their move. Since then they have played at various venues and festivals. They have also made a second appearance on Live at 9.
Some of the bands that have influenced them are The Used, Four Year Strong, The Almost, Muse, Valencia, Green Day, Aaron Gillespie, John Mayer, Victor Wooten, Jimi Hendrix, Flea and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Between the Trees, We the Kings, and Sum 41.
