Description: Compassionate, insightful and a tad quirky -- that's the classic Kate Campbell approach. Campbell has crafted a musical niche for herself telling stories exploring complex topics such as race, religion, history and human relationships.

Concert: 8 p.m. Nov. 22 at The Center for Southern Folklore Hall, 119 S. Main Street. Tickets: $15 in advance, $18 day of show, $25 for Gold Circle seats (best available)

Workshop: 2-4 p.m. Nov. 23 at The Center for Southern Folklore Hall, 119 S. Main. Cost: $30 ($25 Memphis Songwriters Association members)
