OTHER STORIES began when two old friends, Jeff Leedham and Jeff Culley, started jamming and writing songs together back in high school. When Jeff Culley's younger brother, Justin, picked up the bass during these little sessions, it all began to take shape. For years the trio played together on free evenings and weekends, but never booked any shows outside the Culley's living room. However, in the December of 2008 the group known today as Other Stories made its debut on the Memphis music scene. Not long after playing their first show Nick Logan (of the Harmony Brothers) joined the band on the drums and was soon followed by Matt Holzmacher on the keys. Today, Other Stories is making a name for itself around town and quickly becoming one of the go to backing bands for solo artists looking to expand their sound during their live shows. Members of the band have worked with local artists such as Tiffany Harmon, Emily Anderson, and Michelle Bush. Currently the guys are working on a demo they hope to have finished by the end of the summer.

BRYAN HARTLEY is Bryan Hartley on vocals and guitar with John Paul Schaffer on lead guitar, slide guitar, and backing vocals.
Bryan was the singer and songwriter for the Memphis-based country/punk band, Halfacre Gunroom. He’s been singing and writing songs since his early teenage years. Brian has finally escaped Nash Vegas and Music Row, and is once again a Memphis regular. CONFIDENTIAL is his first solo album.
CONFIDENTIAL retains the punk influence, and southern rock edge of HGR’s Wrecked, while being a much more acoustic recording that showcases Hartley’s ever maturing songwriting skills. Still a hillbilly gothic, CONFIDENTIAL is much more of a proper Americana record. You can get your own copy at the show. Listen to more at....

J. JONES, aka Jessica Jones, or J Dorothy Jones grew up in Alabama and started her musical career in Portland, OR, where she played bass guitar in The Hoofbeats and drums for a band just called We Quit.
At the tender age of 17, she started her own record label, stop + rewind records (www.stopnrewind.com) which still serves as home for many of her music making friends.
Jones is in Memphis now and this will be her Otherlands debut. "Fans of Cat Power and especially Julie Doiron would love Jessica Jones." Pop Matters.
