Press Release
Trinity Island does not exist on a map. It is an interior space, jointly occupied by three artists: Joyce Petrina, Nicole Collie and John Madsen.
The artists of Trinity Island may seem to be an unlikely trio but the two Bahamian women and the American mixed-breed ageing hippie are bridging the elements of psyche, senses and soul. They are creating images of social commentary, the sacred, the mystical and the sublime. There is no cynicism to be found here.
Opening reception for the artists 6-9 p.m. May 29, 2009 at Gallery 314 on South Main. Gallery 314 is located across from the Oyster Bar and it will be TROLLY NIGHT!
The bronze sculpture, acrylic paintings and fussed glass on copper jewelry can be viewed following the opening by appointment for one week only. Contact Kevin Mc Kellen at 901-832-0521 or Nicole Collie at nicole.collie@gmail.com.
