Description: Anne Sebba, www.annesebba.com, is making a five US city lecture tour in November sponsored by the Royal Oak Foundation of Britain. Visit online: www.royal-oak.org

Her talk is on The Dollar Princesses, those 19th and early 20th century American heiresses who married British royalty, bringing needed cash to a sagging aristocracy and collecting a title in exchange. Names like Vanderbilt, Singer, Jerome (who married Lord Randolph Churchill) and Wallace Simpson are the best know but there were hundreds!
