The Memphis Symphony League is hosting its “Perfect Party II” social event on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Peabody Hotel, with proceeds benefiting the Memphis Symphony Orchestra (MSO).
“This year we are celebrating our 50th anniversary and honoring our past league presidents,” said Nancy Lou Jones, current league president. “Debbie Litch, one of our past presidents, will perform a special tribute to those who have served.” The theme of this year’s event is Honoring Our Past – Looking to Our Future.
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. on the Peabody Rooftop with cocktails and music, followed by an elegant dinner at 7 p.m. in the Peabody Skyway. There will also be a silent auction, dancing for guests to the swing music of the Doctor’s Band, and the HEBE award presentation to singer Joyce Cobb. The HEBE award is presented annually to a person who is distinguished by outstanding and significant contributions, performance and service to the arts.
“We are proud to be an active supporter of the Memphis Symphony so that it can continue to deliver great music to the Mid-South over the next 50 years,” Jones said.
Single tickets for the event are $150 and $200 per person. Tables seating eight or 10 individuals are also available. However, reservations are required.
To reserve tickets, please call Billie Jean Graham, event chairman, at 901-748-2300; Nancy Lou Jones, league president, at 901-683-0736 or the MSO Box Office at 901-537-2525.
