The best free festival in Memphis returns for its 22nd consecutive year. Produced by the Center for Southern Folklore, this two day festival features over 400 of the best Memphis and Mid-South musicians, artists, craftspeople, cooks, talkers, dancers and more. Among the performers slated to appear are: veteran R&B showman Bobby Rush, the soul, jazz and blues stylings of Memphis treasure Joyce Cobb, songs and stories from New South singer/songwriter Kate Campbell, mariachi and Latin rhythms from Los Cantadores, rockabilly boogie from Sonny Burgess, the dynamic gospel ensemble Darrel Petties & Strength in Praise and the piano-pumping wild man of rock & roll Jason D. Williams.
It all happens Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend and it’s all absolutely free!
