April 25 through June 13

Featuring over 50 works of art from Memphis collections and beyond, Anything but Clear tells the story of the studio glass movement in which glass came to be respected as a medium for fine art.

From traditional yet stylistically complex blown glass vases to more conceptual works that fuse glass with other materials, the objects in this exhibition illustrate the many different avenues possible in the movement. With examples by some of the pioneers of the movement as well as its innovative rising stars, Anything but Clear shows how the medium gives rise to some of the most unique works of art created in the last thirty years.
