Taylor Bothwell may be young in years but her songwriting skills belie her age. This 14 year old Memphis singer/songwriter has been writing lyrics since the age of 11 and putting them to music since getting a guitar for her 13th birthday. She is the youngest member of the Memphis Songwriters Association and has performed over the last year on the singer/songwriter stage at the Delta Music Festival. Taylor also performed in four separate showcases at the 2010 International Folk Alliance Festival in Memphis. There she shared the stage with several professional singer/songwriters attracting the attention of the Nashville Songwriters Association International in the process.
In addition to her appearance at the Folklore Store on Thursday, March 4, she will also perform at the Cheer for Kids benefit for St. Jude’s Hospital on March 7 and Earth Day at Shelby Farms on April 25th.
