Handpicked and Handmade Craft Show

Visit the Ozark Folk Center on March 12 and 13 for the Handpicked and Handmade Craft Show. This annual spring show is held in conjunction with Mountain View’s Spring Bluegrass Festival. Crafts people will be on hand in both the shops in the craft village and in the Administration building.

Special demonstrating crafts people include Sage Holland, Beau Anderson and Vanessa Bunett making lampwork glass beads and sculpture in the Demo classroom; Mary Hoelterhoff weaving hammocks in the Picnic Pavilion and the irrepressible wood carver, Bubba, in the Administration building lobby.

The Handpicked and Handmade Craft Show starts at 10:00 a.m. both Friday and Saturday mornings and closes at 7 p.m. both days. Some of the craft shops may close early. The Homespun Gift Shop at the Ozark Folk Center will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Make sure you stop by and see the newly remodeled shop and all the new t-shirt designs.

Food is available during the craft show. The Skillet Restaurant across from the Administration Building will be open Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Smokehouse Snack bar in the Craft Village will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Park down in the big parking lot and take the shuttle up to the Craft Village gate, or park in the Admin parking lot and enter the village through the Admin lobby. There is no admission fee to the Handpicked and Handmade Craft Show.
