The first concert film starring stylized rock duo the White Stripes, titled “Under Great Northern White Lights,” screens at 7:30 p.m. March 16 at the Malco Studio on the Square, 2105 Court, in a special event coordinated by Indie Memphis and sponsored by local film fans Pam and Rick O’Brien. The film follows guitarist/vocalist Jack White and his “sister,” drummer Meg White, on their 2007 tour of small towns and venues in Canada (including a Halifax pool hall), which culminated with a 10th-anniversary show in Nova Scotia. Come dressed in the signature White Stripes colors of red and white, and get in free!
Admission: $5, or free for Indie Memphis members (and White Stripe dressers). Visit indiememphis.com.
