One of the area’s most powerful singers, graces the SBA Performing Arts Stage. Jackie offers Gospel and Soul in only the way she can do it. In 2000, the Commercial Appeal reported, “She knows how to belt a tune, bringing church to the listener.”

JemmiLou Rye
December 13, 2009, 6:30 p.m.
JemmiLou Rye has performed as an Opera Concert Recitalist throughout the Unite States, Germany, Switzerland, and France. She studied in both Germany and the United States, and received a Doctorate from the University of North Texas. She is renowned as both an educator and as one of the finest Soprano voices anywhere. At SBA, she offers Sacred Classical for the Christmas season.

The Wells Family Singers
January 24, 2010, 6:30 p.m.
The Wells’ Family Singers, a local Christian worship group that has led worship at churches in the mid-south for over 20 years, consists of Jay and Cindy Wells with their daughter and two sons. At the SBA Performing Arts Theatre their selections will feature traditional and contemporary Christian music, appealing to all denominations. Featured with the Wells’ Family will be the quartet “Subject to Change” from the Memphis group “Men of Harmony.”

John Angotti and Matt Tutor
March 28, 2010, 6:30 p.m.
John Angotti and Matt Tutor bring to the stage Contemporary Christian Music in a dynamic and high-energy presentation. Both artists are well-know throughout the area in recording and in a multitude of venues.

All concerts start at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Benedict at Auburndale High School Performing Arts Theatre (8250 Varnavas Dr. @ Germantown Parkway in Cordova) and tickets are very reasonable. Individual tickets are $10.00 per concert. Season tickets may be purchased for only $35.00 for the season.
