Description: Renowned Memphis musician, David Francis, knew that he wanted to do something special to honor his mother following her death. Francis quickly decided upon a music series that would provide a venue for experienced and emerging talent in the Memphis area to showcase their artistic gifts. The result is the Marguerite Francis Music at Noon concert series, which debuts Sept. 9 at Bartlett United Methodist Church. From classic works on the grand Kimball organ to operatic selections and original compositions, the concert series provides vibrant musical offerings to delight audience members of all ages.
Concerts held from 12:10 to 12:40 each Wednesday in the church’s sanctuary beginning Sept. 9, running through Dec. 16 for the fall season.
THE GARY BEARD CHORALE inaugurates the concert series on the 22nd anniversary of their New York debut concert at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall with a program appropriately titled, “Another Opening, Another Show – A Broadway Salute.”
Further information on the series is available on the Bartlett Methodist Web site, www.bartlettumc.org. Bartlett Methodist is located at 5767 Stage Road in Bartlett.
