Bartlett United Methodist Church is beginning the second year of Music @ Noon on Wednesday, Sept. 8. The Fall Season has an outstanding lineup of talent.

The Marguerite Francis Music @ Noon community concert series hosted at Bartlett United Methodist Church each Wednesday through December was established by David Francis of Memphis to honor the memory of his late mother. It presents the talents of experienced and emerging professionals. The performance is from 12:10 – 12:40 p.m. in the sanctuary. There is no admission charge, but contributions to the love offering baskets help continue the work of the series. A light lunch is available for purchase following each performance.

SEPT. 8:
Nancy Apple, singer, songwriter
Dubbed the “Queen of Country in Memphis” by Memphis Magazine’s City Guide, and the “Princess of Twang” by the Commercial Appeal

SEPT. 15:
Wes Kirkpatrick, pianist
Favorite hymns of the faith from the hands of St. Luke’s United Methodist organist/pianist.

SEPT. 22:
Christopher Atzinger, pianist
Assistant professor of piano at St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN Chris will offer music by composer Judith Zaimont.

Sept. 29:
John Mueller, Euphonium
Not sure what a Euphonium is? Come and hear Dr. Mueller in recital and find out!

OCT. 6:
Konnie Saliba, pianist
Dr. Saliba celebrates the 200th birthday of Polish composer Frederic Chopin.

OCT. 13:
Kristin Lensch, organ
Enjoy the full color of our Kimball organ with the organist/choirmaster of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church.

OCT. 20:
Tony Thomas, piano/organ
Jazz standards and original compositions from a Memphis favorite.

OCT. 27:
Pat Register, saxophone
Jazz, fund, R&B, Pat can play it all!

NOV. 3:
Chip Henderson, guitar
Join Chip and friends from the University of Memphis Guitar Club.

NOV. 10:
U of M Slide Society, trombones (students)
Trombone students from the University of Memphis will surely delight.

NOV. 17:
Sarah Harr, organ
Prepare the Way of the Lord, compositions centered on Mary’s Magnificat.

DEC. 1:
Richard Wright, holiday keyboards
Union Ave. Baptist’s music director returns with our first holiday concert.

DEC. 8:
Sunday Traffic Brass Quintet, holiday music
The Brass Quintet is back and will fill our Sanctuary with great holiday music and laughter.

DEC. 15:
Chris Nemec, pianist/vocals
Local treasure returns with is twist on holiday classics
