Planter's Ridge Park. 9-acre park located on Collierville-Arlington
Road includes scenic walking trail.
Estanaula Park. Located on Estanaula Trails on Byhalia Road in south Collierville 9-acre neighborhood park consists of a lake and connection with the Collierville Greenbelt system.
Steeplechase Park. Located on Grand Steeple Drive covering 25 acres includes two lakes, a 1/2-mile section of the Collierville Greenbelt system and a play structure.
Confederate Park. Located in the southeast district on Town Square, Confederate Park serves as a community gathering space and covers a city block.
McCray Park. 18-acre site located on Harris Park Drive named in honor of the Olympic and WNBA basketball standout, Nikki McCray, formerly of Collierville. Contains paved parking, a lighted softball field, two soccer fields, two basketball courts, a playground and a half-mile walking trail.
W.C. Johnson Park. Located in the northeast district of town in Johnson Park Drive. Park is the only park property that extends to the Wolf River.
A five-field baseball/softball complex with concessions is located here, plus two lighted multi-purpose fields, two lakes, a playground and a trail which connects to the greenbelt system. A 300-space lighted parking lot with designated handicapped parking adjoins these fields. East of the ball field complex is Peterson Lake, which covers 3.5 acres. Two multi-purpose fields are situated south of the lake. Both fields have scoreboards, bleachers, lighting and benches. These fields can host either soccer or football games. A smaller, peewee football field with no lighting is located nearby. Adjacent to the fields is a modular playground structure. Although connector trails offer pedestrians greenbelt access through this park, additional trails are included in future developmental plans. Also, 27 additional acres of land have been on the northwest side of the park. A ballfield complex is being designed for this area.
H.W. Cox Park. Considered the centerpiece of Collierville's park system, Cox Park is a 60-acre site on which sits the Community Center/Harrell Theatre.
Progress Road Soccer Park. Located in southeast Collierville on Progress Road, this 5-acre site is adjacent to an industrial park and contains two lighted soccer fields. These two fields recently received a new irrigation system and a new athletic lighting system.
Suggs Park. This 13-acre park is located in southeast Collierville on South Street.
Tara Oaks Park. This 12.5-acre open space is currently undeveloped on Gable Lane Dr.
Frank Road Tennis Courts. Located on Frank Rd., two lighted courts are available year-round.
Oakmont Park. This 2-acre park on Surry Oaks Dr. has a small pond, a
playground and a Greenbelt connection.Germantown
The Germantown Parks and Recreation Department (GPRD) is responsible
for all parkland, Greenways, rights-of-way, medians, flower beds and
landscaping, City buildings, and City vehicles in the City of
Germantown. For information on any facility, rental space, or service
offered by the GPRD, call 757-7375. Germantown parks include:
Bob Hailey Athletic Complex: This 44-acre park includes four lighted grass infield baseball fields, three lighted football fields, electronic scoreboards on all fields, two restroom/concession areas, multiple walking trails, parking lot area and several acres of wetlands.
Cameron-Brown Park: This park consists of 55 acres located on Farmington Boulevard. It includes four lighted baseball/softball fields, one lighted grass infield baseball field, a lighted combination football/soccer field, one batting cage, 32 picnic sites with tables, grills and waste containers, two playground tot lots, two lighted tennis courts and a 1.5-mile lighted hiking trail. A large family picnic pavilion is located beside a three-acre lake.
Grove Park: This 13-acre proposed park is north of Farmington Extended and west of Johnson Road. The park will feature an eight-acre lake, trails, benches and a playground area.
Cloyes Park: This 20-acre park has two lighted, irrigated junior
soccer fields, parking area, bleachers and trash receptacles.
Cone Park: The two-acre park includes ADA accessible tot lot areas,
picnic areas with two tables, walking trails and a play area and
drinking fountain.
Depot Park: This park, located on Germantown Road at the Southern Railroad, covers two acres. It houses Fire Station 1, YWCA (located in the Old City Hall Building) and contains a historic train depot that serves as a museum. This is a favorite concert site.
Dogwood Park: This six-acre park, located near Ashmere, is adjacent to Dogwood Elementary School. Included in this park is a playground area, two lighted tennis courts, a quarter-mile jogging trail, outdoor basketball court, playground ball diamond, a bike trail joining the parking lot with the elementary school, six picnic tables, grills and trash containers.
Farmington Park: This 10-acre park, located beside Farmington
Elementary, consists of two lighted tennis courts, parking lot, ADA
accessible playground tot lot, restrooms, lighted baseball/soccer
field, basketball court and two junior T-ball fields.
Forgey Park: Located on New Riverdale Road, this five-acre park
includes two picnic tables, grills, playground equipment, jogging and
walking trails, benches and a small lake and large recreation area.
Fort Germantown: This five-acre park is located near Honey Tree Drive and the Norfolk Southern Railroad south of Poplar Pike. A historic landmark of a Federal redoubt during the Civil War, the park is on the National Register of Historic Places. It includes a small parking lot and a drinking fountain.
C. O. Franklin Park: This park consists of 50 acres located south of Poplar Pike. It includes baseball/softball fields, two football/soccer fields, two playground tot lot areas and an ADA designed playground, six lighted tennis courts, the Pickering Community Center and the Morgan Woods Childrens Theatre, as well as the Germantown Charity Horse Show Arena and stables.
Morgan Woods Park: A 14-acre park located between C. O. Franklin Park and Oaklawn Gardens, it consists of hiking trails and 10 picnic sites with tables and grills.
Germantown Station Park: It consists of six acres located in the southern portion of the City in Laurinburg Circle. Amenities include a two-acre fishing lake, an ADA accessible playground/tot lot, eight picnic tables, grills, trash containers, a drinking fountain and lake fountain.
Houston Levee Park: These 37 acres are adjacent to Houston High School. This park features a four-acre lake with three lighted baseball/softball fields, four lighted tennis courts, jogging/walking trails, lake, fountain, picnic areas, benches, grills, pavilion, concession stand, two restroom facilities, skateboard park and general recreation areas.
Howard/McVay Park: This 14-acre park, located in the southwestern part of the City, is separated into two seven-acre parcels by Turpins Glen Road. The park includes a hiking trail, six picnic tables, a small pavilion, grills, trash containers, two playgrounds (one is ADA accessible) and ADA accessible parking.
Johnson Road Park: This 57.5 acre park was fully opened last year on Johnson Road north of Poplar. Features include a nine-hole disc golf course; two lighted soccer fields; two lighted tennis courts; two ADA accessible playground sites; croquet playing courts; a large pavilion, picnic sites with tables, grills and benches; two lakes with fountain and water feature in one lake; paved trails; restrooms and parking. This park also houses a City of Germantown water plant.
Municipal Park: These 17 acres are part of the Germantown Municipal Square, which encompasses multiple municipal buildings and the Germantown Centre. The park is serviced by six lighted tennis courts, a tennis pro shop, two lakes for fishing, park restrooms, playground, lighted pavilion, lighted softball/soccer field, six picnic sites with tables and grills, a parking lot as well as the historic John Gray House.
Nashoba Park: This 18-acre park is the first completed section of the Germantown Greenway. The park features an eight-plus-acre lake and almost a mile of paved pathways that run along the Wolf River and lake. The park was developed and donated by The Crook Trust.
Poplar Estates Park: About 10 acres of this 40-acre park have been developed as a neighborhood park. The park consists of a general playing field, jogging/walking trail, outdoor basketball area, picnic area, large tot lot, park benches, nature areas, grills and trash containers. It connects to the Germantown Greenway.
Hacks Cross Road Park: This seven-acre park consists of a lighted,
grass infield baseball field and parking space.
Riverdale Park: This 20-acre park, adjacent to Riverdale Elementary
School, includes pavilion, restroom, concession stand storage area,
batting cage, hockey rink, four playground areas (one is ADA
accessible), one lighted ball field, two unlighted ball diamonds, an
area walkway through the park, 10 picnic tables, grills, two lighted
tennis courts and park benches.
OTHER PARK PROPERTIES:Forest Hill-Irene Fire Station/Theatre: This
four-acre property houses a City fire station and theater, which is
leased to the Germantown Community Theatre.Old Public Works and Water
Storage Area: This two acres of property house two water towers as well
as two cellular phone towers.Public Services and Water Plant: This
includes 11 acres located on Southern Avenue, east of Germantown. It
consists of Public Services Building, landscaping, animal shelter,
mechanic shop, storeroom, water storage and processing plant.
Germantown Centre: This 70,000-plus, square-foot recreational complex
is located at 1801 Exeter Road. It features a 40-meter pool, three
basketball courts, four locker rooms, saunas, whirlpool, three
racquetball courts, meeting rooms and game rooms.Germantown Greenway:
The Germantown Greenway Master Plan features 20-plus miles of
contiguous linear parkland that runs along the Wolf River on the north,
the power easements on the east and west, and along the railroad on the

Church Park

courts daytime use only. Two pavilions, picnic area and
playground equipment for all ages.
Hernando Civic Center

Six complete ballfields. Center is owned by Hernando Lions, Rotary Club
and Saddle Club.
Westside Park

HORN LAKE
Churchwood Subdivision Park
This site includes one baseball practice field, picnic tables, barbecue
grills, swingset and tire swings, and a fun slide.
Greg Maxey Park
Tulane East Rd.
This park features a lighted and paved 1/4-mile walking trail with
exercise stations, water fountain, benches and rest areas. Barbecue
grills and picnic areas are also available.
Memorial Park
Hurt Rd. (across from Dover Elevator)
Picnic tables and barbecue grills are mixed with a 1/4-mile walking
trail.
Shadow Oaks Park
Swingsets, barbecue grills and picnic tables are featured here along
with an open area for various activities.
Soccer Fields
Tulane East Rd.
Six soccer fields, available for scheduled games, make up this facility
as well as a concession stand. One field can be used for football.
T. Berma Hobbs Park
Primbrook Rd.
Surrounding its pavilion are picnic tables, barbecue grills, swingsets
and playground equipment.
Wooten Park
Nail Rd.
This park includes six baseball fields, three tennis courts, concession
stand, swingsets, basketball court, restrooms, barbecue grills and
picnic tables.
OLIVE BRANCH
Olive Branch Community Park

Included on this 135-acre site is a picnic area with pavilion, five
tennis courts, a large playground area, three lakes and fishing for
children, 13 baseball/softball fields, a two-mile walking trail with
fitness stations, eight-lane track, amphitheater and 1/2-mile nature
trail. Park space will accommodate 1,200 cars.
Magnolia Park
Magnolia Estates subdivision
This is a large open area for various activities as well as a large
playground and fitness station.
SOUTHAVEN
Brookhaven Park
Brookhaven Rd.
This is a 3.2-acre facility that includes playground equipment, a
small, covered pavilion with picnic tables and an asphalt walking
trail.
Carriage Hills
This passive use park is a five-acre addition to Southaven.
Chaperral Park
Chaperral Ln.
Enjoy the lake view at one of the picnic tables. Playground equipment
is available.
Cherry Valley Park
Cherry Valley Blvd.
Formerly a baseball park, the eight-acre facility has been updated for
football and soccer. Its outfitted with a playground and
concession stand.
Central Park
This 15.5-acre park includes a seven-acre lake. Walking trails are
planned.
DeSoto Wood
This five-acre park includes basketball courts and park benches.
Elmore Park
A passive use green space, it will soon have picnic tables and
grills.
Greenbrook Lake Park
Developed in 1999, the park includes playground equipment, picnic
tables and gazebo. A three-rail white fence surrounds it. Planned
additions include a walking trail.
Greenbrook Softball Complex

This softball complex includes eight ballfields, concession stands and
restrooms.
Life Park
This is a 10-acre, passive-use park.
Millford Park
This 17-acre park is for passive use.
Pecan Grove Park
Pecan Grove subdivision

trail and water fountain.
Phillip Leach Rotary Park

This 10-acre park includes playground equipment.

This five-acre park includes a stocked lake, picnic tables and new
playground equipment.
Snowden Grove Park

Visitors to this park will find 17 baseball fields, two lakes, pecan
grove and a historical home within its white rail fence. 90 acres are
used for passive use. Its also the site for Springfest.
Southern Pines Park

It includes playground equipment, picnic tables, benches.
Southaven Community Center
Residents of Southaven have access to the Brookhaven Rd. Community
Center for community relations activities and private non-profit
activities.
Stateline Soccer Complex
This is a five-field soccer complex that will open in the fall of
2002.
Swinnea Park
This is a wooded, passive use park with picnic tables and grills.
Trinity Park
Greencliff Dr.
This 7.5-acre site includes a lake with pavilion and playground
equipment.
Vicksburg Park
Vicksburg Dr.
Visitors will find playground equipment and picnic tables.

Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center
Appling Road
This 82-acre municipal center is the site of the Bartlett Justice
Center, the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center, a 1
1/2-mile fitness trail and a lake. A $5.5 million Recreation Center
opened in August of 2000 at this location. It includes an indoor
swimming pool, basketball courts, racquetball courts, weight room,
lifecycle fitness area, in-door jogging track, daycare area, concession
area, meeting rooms, catering kitchen and a cardiovascular
exercise.
Bartlett/Ellendale Country Park
High Plains Street in Bartlett Country subdivision
The park, completed this year, includes 12 acres with a playground and
1/2 mile fitness trail.
Bartlett Municipal Park

This 10-acre park behind City Hall features a Japanese Garden with lake
and stone bridge, lighted tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables,
1/2-mile fitness trail and restrooms.
Bartlett Grove Park
7155 Santa Cruz
Located in the Bartlett Grove subdivision on Santa Cruz, this is a
five-acre neighborhood park. A 1/2-mile fitness trail borders the park.
A new playground was added in the fall of 1999.
Bartlett Road Soccer Park

This is an 11-acre complex with two lighted soccer fields, concession
building and restrooms and open space for additional fields.
A. E. Beaty Park
Haynes/Memphis-Arlington Rd.
This is a 4.5-acre neighborhood park with 1/2-mile fitness trail,
playground, a lake and restrooms.
Elva T. Bledsoe Park
Bartlett and Stage Road
A Victorian gazebo/bandstand is the centerpiece of this .5-acre park
located in the geographic center of Shelby County in the Bartlett
Station area.
Madison Arthur Byrd Park
Summerdale Estates Subdivision
This is a 10-acre neighborhood park with two lighted tennis courts,
picnic area, playground and 1/2-mile fitness trail.
Deermont Park

This park is located in the Bartlett Station area and is the most
recent to undergo renovation. A new gazebo, which can be reserved, and

here, as well as the Bartlett Senior Center, a police substation, and
the Gotten House.
Easthill Park

This 10-acre park includes athletic fields, playground and 1/2-mile
fitness trail.
Ellendale Park

This is a 16-acre park with lighted tennis courts and athletic fields,
