For multihyphenate performer Jamie Foxx, his career has always gone back to one tried and true love: music. "Music is my everything," says the 41-year-old Foxx. "It's what I came out to (Hollywood) to do. There's just something about how universal music is." Foxx will be in Memphis tonight performing at FedExForum as part of his "Blame It" tour. "It's been going great so far," he says. "People are ready to laugh, ready to dance. We kicked it off in Las Vegas with some sold-out shows, and now we're headed to Memphis and ready to get down."

Bruce Hornsby needs your help. When the multiple Grammy-winning singer-songwriter-pianist and his band the Noisemakers play Minglewood Hall on Wednesday night, they'll be looking to the audience to help flesh out the set list. "We'll just play whatever is requested," says Hornsby from his home in Williamsburg, Va. "We've been doing that for years, so the people who really know what we do know that drill."

In fact, his entire play “Entertainer’s Eulogy,” now running at TheatreWorks in Memphis as part of Playhouse on the Square’s Solo Works series, is about impressions. But the first one is a doozy: He enters in a top hat and a wide grin and performs a soft shoe dance for pennies.
