It's been a good run for Arlington for the Arts/East End Playhouse, but after nine years, it's almost over.

The performing arts nonprofit has been one of the more adventurous in the community since it came into being in 1999. AFTA has presented Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams and Neil Simon plus done some edgy regional premieres. And it's given a start to actors and crew who are now vital to the rest of the area's theaters.
