After Dark: Kudzu's Pickin' Party

Michael Donahue’s After Dark goes to a Pickin’ Party at Kudzu’s. The 8 p.m. Thursday night-attraction has been described as “guitar karaoke;” folks bring their guitars to the bar/restaurant at 603 Monroe and join Nancy Apple in a circle to take turns singing originals or covers.

The sing along/play along, which can last until the cows come home (or get up), is a nine-year tradition at Kudzu’s. Cowboy hats and boots aren’t required.
