Karaoke night
Michael Donahue’s After Dark visits karaoke night at Dan McGuiness Pub at 4698 Spottwood. Anyone can be a star on Wednesday nights. Choose from rap to country, grab the mike (and perhaps a beer) and become, if not America’s, maybe Memphis’s Idol for a few minutes.
The audience is receptive; they’ll probably get up and dance while you sing.
And if you don’t want to sing or watch others perform, you can go into an adjoining room where there are games and another bar. And plenty of people.
