Saturday and Monday

Club Elvis: 8 p.m.-midnight at the Elvis Presley Car Museum in Graceland Plaza. Disc jockey spins Elvis records; cash bar (IDs checked). Wristband ticket ($20) allows you to come and go. (800) 238-2000 or 332-3322.

Gospel Breakfast: 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Elvis Presley Car Museum, Graceland Plaza. Brunch in the museum while listening to Elvis gospel music and watching Elvis videos on the drive-in theater movie screen. Tickets $27. Call (800) 238-2000 or 332-3322.

"Blue Hawaii" at The Orpheum Theatre: Doors open at 5 p.m., movie at 6 p.m. At 203 S. Main. The film "Blue Hawaii" shown during Orpheum's Summer Movie Series. Tickets $6 (purchase at the Orpheum box office 1 hour before show time). Cash only. Call 525-3000.

Tuesday

Malco Theatre's Elvis Film Fest 6: At Studio on the Square, 2105 Court Ave. "Fun in Acapulco", "Roustabout", "Jailhouse Rock", and "King Creole", beginning at 10 a.m. with last showing ("Jailhouse Rock") at 4:10 p.m. Tickets $5 each, and on sale at theatre box office and online at malco.com. Fans of the King Collectible Show 2009: 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday-Aug. 15 at the Scottish Inn & Suites, 3524 Elvis Presley Blvd. Dealers with original LPs, EPs and singles, concert and candid photos, movie memorabilia, promo items, sheet music, magazines, books and licensed jewelry. Images of the King Contest: The 23rd annual contest will be held Tuesday through Saturday (Aug. 15) at the Holiday Inn Select Airport. Contest begins at 7 p.m. each evening. There also will be an associated bus tour, a "Show of Champions" and a champagne breakfast on Aug. 16. Tickets begin at $15. Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Meet 'n' Greet: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Hard Rock Café, 315 Beale. Private event reserved for those who have purchased a special ticket package for the 2009 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest.

Elvis Meet Up at Marlowe's: 4 p.m. at 4381 Elvis Presley Blvd. Benefiting Shelby County Humane Society. No cover charge, but attendees pay for their own food, drinks, gratuity. Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Semifinal Round: 7 p.m. at Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, 255 N. Main. Semifinal round of competition for 2009 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. See the best Elvis tribute artists from around the world performing and competing on stage for their chance to move on to the finals round on Thursday. Brass Note Dedication for Dewey Phillips: 9:30 a.m. in front of W.C. Handy Park. Phillips was one of Memphis' most famous and entertaining disc jockeys who in 1954 was the first DJ to give air time to Elvis. Open to the public.

Fan Club Presidents' Event: 2-4 p.m. at the Fogelman Executive Conference Center, University of Memphis. Celebrate the work of Elvis Presley fan clubs. Event will feature a program of EPE company updates and special announcements. Special guest Michael Hoey, who wrote the screenplays for two Elvis Presley films -- "Stay Away, Joe" and "Live a Little, Love a Little" -- and was a contributing writer on four more Presley films ("Tickle Me," "Spinout," "Speedway" and "Double Trouble"). Graceland Scavenger Hunt -- Bears on Tour: 5 p.m. starting at the Graceland ticket office. Guests invited to tour Graceland Mansion (no audio tour) and the Elvis Presley Automobile Museum while simultaneously participating in a trivia scavenger hunt. Shake, Rattle & Bowl Party: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Strike Zone Bowling Alley, 3330 Pine Tar Alley, Southaven, Miss. Elvis 1969 -- A Celebration Concert: 8 p.m. Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, 255 N. Main. Forty years after Elvis Presley returned to the stage at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., will reunite many of the original cast for a concert celebration. Elvis Plaque Presentation from Sony Music: 5 p.m. The Plaza Green at Graceland. Join executives from Sony Music, EPE and fans from around the world for a presentation of plaques that honor Elvis' recent worldwide gold, silver and platinum achievements.

Candlelight Vigil: 8:30 p.m. Gates of Graceland Mansion. After an opening ceremony at the gates of the Graceland Mansion property, fans are invited to walk up the driveway to Elvis's grave site and back down carrying a candle in quiet remembrance. Free admission. No tickets or reservations. Gates remain open until all who wish to participate have done so. Free parking at the Graceland visitor center complex after 6 p.m.

Multiple Date Events

Morning and Evening Walk-ups for Meditation Garden: Elvis Week morning walk-ups will be 7:30-8:30 a.m. on Aug. 8-15. Morning walk-ups will not be available on Aug. 16 due to Candlelight Vigil. Elvis Week evening walk-ups will be 7- 9 p.m. on Aug. 8-14 and on Aug. 16. Evening walk-ups will not be available on Aug. 15 due to the Candlelight Vigil.

Last Chance Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest: 9 p.m.-midnight Aug. 8-10 at Hard Rock Café, 315 Beale. Hard Rock Café in Memphis is looking for the best Elvis tribute artists to compete in their "Last Chance" event. Winner goes on to the semifinal round just a few days later. If interested in competing, E-mail: memphis_sales@hardrock.com. Spectator tickets $5 for each semifinal event (Aug. 8 & 9) and $10 for final event (Aug. 10). Tickets available at the door only, the night of the show. No advanced ticket sales.
