There are some dishes that probably should never have happened, yet they did -- and it turns out, some of us love these "abominations" and others hate them. Don't put pineapple on my pizza, please, but Whining & Dining blogger Jilkey loves hers with ham, pineapple and jalapeno.

Give me a plate of Frank Vernon's barbecue spaghetti from the Bar-B-Q Shop (1782 Madison; 272-1277) and I'm a happy gal; Carole H says keep it away from her!

Here are a few combos that bloggers like and where to find them:

Bmorgan likes a barbecue salad: I never heard of a pig salad until I moved to Arkansas. Maybe it started here in Blytheville, but I will say it is very good at the Dixie Pig (701 N. 6th St., Blytheville, Ark.; 870-763-4636) or one of the other barbecue places here in town. You eat smoked turkey, smoked ham, or other meat on a salad, so what's so wrong with smoked pig?

Mark: The absolute king of favorite abominations for me is (drum roll please) fried rice. Best places to get great fried rice in Memphis: Bhan Thai -- simply sublime (1324 Peabody; 272-1538); Asian Palace (2920 Covington Pike; 388-3883) -- the pork fried rice is awesome; and Pho Vietnam (1411 Poplar; 728-4711).

CaroleH: I got on a barbecue pizza kick for while because a friend of mine loves it so much. We have tried it at several different places, and the best we have found is from Garibaldi's (multiple locations; visit garibaldispizza.com).

Molly: Hot wing eggrolls from the Blue Monkey (2012 Madison; 272-2583 and 513 S. Front; 527-6665). I can't get enough of them.
