"Wrapped in Pride: Ghanaian Kente and African-American Identity," ends Sunday. The cloth called kente, made by the Asante (or Ashanti) people of Ghana and the Ewe people of Ghana and Togo, is the best known of all African textiles.

"Underground Memphis: Archaeology and the African-American Experience," through Oct. 16. Story of African-Americans as they moved from slavery to freedom and from plantation to city in the 19th century.
