Go Taste: Wine tastings around town

Looking for something good to eat and drink this weekend and next week? Consider the following:

SATURDAY

The 11th Annual Spirit of SRVS Auction Affair is from 6 to 10 p.m. at Hilton Memphis, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. Tickets are $60 in advance, $65 at the door. The event includes vintage wines, food from numerous restaurants and live entertainment in addition to the auction. To see what's up for bid and to purchase tickets, visit srvs.org.

Great Wines & Spirits continues the summer blind tastings at Salsa restaurant, 6150 Poplar, from 1 to 3 p.m. This week's featured wine is Chardonnay. Informal, drop-by format. TUESDAY

John Vego with Buster's hosts a wine tasting at Cafe Society, featuring six summer wines and cheese for $25, plus $5 for small plates from chef/owner Cullen Kent. Call 722-2177 for reservations. 6:30 p.m.; 212 N. Evergreen.

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY
