“The Different Me Tour” starring Keyshia Cole at the DeSoto Civic Center was cancelled due to this afternoon’s storms and will not be rescheduled.
Heavy winds knocked down electrical lines surrounding the Civic Center leaving the arena in the dark for part of the evening.
Around 10 tonight, generators powered parts of the building so that crews could pack up the set and prepare for the next tour stop. The R&B diva performs near Dallas Saturday.
“It’s down towards the end of the tour and we tried everything we could, but couldn’t get it rescheduled,” said local promoter Fred Jones, head of SMC Entertainment. “Refunds are at the point of purchase beginning (Saturday). If you bought a ticket online, go back online. If you bought a ticket at a store, go back to the store.”
