The "American Idol" judges don't disagree that Memphis singer Lil Rounds is one of the top vocalists on the Fox singing contest.
But on Wednesday's two-hour program dedicated to the music of Motown, they thought she could have made a better song choice than "Heat Wave" by Martha and the Vandellas.
"I gotta say, you were the diva tonight that everyone was waiting to hear," said judge Kara DioGuardi. "They wanted to hear more."
Smokey Robinson, appearing as a guest mentor on the program, had the biggest compliment for Rounds: "Lil is one of those singers who could sing the phone book."
The results of Wednesday's voting will be revealed on tonight's episode at 7 p.m. tonight on WHBQ-TV Channel 13. One contestant will be voted off the show. For more information and to voice your opinion about the contestants, go to the Memphis "Idol" Watch page and TV Muse blog on gomemphis.com.
