'American Idol' judges give Lil Rounds a stiff critique

In her attempt to survive another week of cuts on the "American Idol" singing competition, Memphis singer Lil Rounds made an unusual song choice on Tuesday's live broadcast. Celine Dion's "Surrender" let Rounds show off her impressive, soulful vocal abilities, but the four judges once again criticized her choice of music.

"This is, for me, you singing to stay in the competition," said Simon Cowell. "Your personality was being sucked out of you."

Still, several other singers received more scathing reviews. Results of viewer voting will be revealed on tonight's episode, 7 p.m. on Fox 13.
