Best Bets: Pizza
You're not likely to happen upon The Pizza Shack, unless you're at Lowe's on Perkins and taking the side exit out to Summer. The little restaurant is in the parking lot of the home improvement store, facing the north side of the building.

I checked it out when it first opened as another pizza place and liked the pizza, but worried about the location. About six months ago, it switched hands and became The Pizza Shack. Starved and tired one night last week, it was a good time to give take-out a try.
We went with The Italian Stallion, and you could hardly find a more traditional pizza. Red sauce, pepperoni, salami, olives, onions and -- yum -- meatballs. The woman laughed when I asked if a large would feed three hungry people, and she was right. We had two huge slices left when we'd eaten all we wanted (I stopped at one slice). It was good from crust to cheese, and was $20.75, including tax.
There are also sandwiches and salads on the menu, and you can order pizza by the slice for as little as $2.50. It's a small place with just a few tables, but you can order carry-out or delivery.
