Actor-musician Rick Springfield will appear in four episodes of Showtime's "Californication."

"It's not full-frontal, but it's pretty much full on," the 60-year-old musician-actor says. "As long as it's for the part, I'm cool with it. And it's funny. It's not done to be particularly sexy."

Springfield will appear on four episodes, and he sheds his clothes by the end of the season. His first episode airs Sunday.

Springfield appeared on the daytime soap opera "General Hospital" in the early 1980s, when his hit song "Jessie's Girl" was a radio staple. He's made guest appearances on the show in recent years.

He bares his backside during a party scene featuring show stars David Duchovny and Evan Handler.

Springfield said "great writing" drew him to "Californication," adding that his character could return next season.

Meanwhile, he's busy with other projects, including recording a new rock album and writing a children's book and autobiography.

Springfield will also perform and party with fans on a cruise to Mexico next month.

Rapper Soulja Boy arrested in Ga.

Police say rapper Soulja Boy was charged with obstruction after telling officers that people gathered at an abandoned Georgia house were shooting a music video.

Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said Friday that when officers arrived Wednesday night to investigate complaints, almost half of the 40 people assembled fled by foot. Later, a man identified as DeAndre Cortez Way, Soulja Boy's real name, returned and said the group was shooting a video.

The 19-year-old was charged with obstruction and bonded out of the Henry County jail on Thursday.

The rapper started an Internet dance craze several years ago with the hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy)."

Dad to Miley: 'Can't leave' Twitter

Most parents want their kids to twitter less, but not Billy Ray Cyrus.

The country music star is urging daughter Miley Cyrus to return to Twitter. The 16-year-old pop star quit the microblogging site earlier this week, puzzling her fans. She had more than 1.1 million followers on the site.

Her father tweeted Thursday that Miley "can't leave everyone now" and said "we r countin on u."

Miley Cyrus' account is no longer active. In one of her last posts, she wrote that Liam Hemsworth, her co-star in the upcoming film "The Last Song," wanted her to delete her Twitter account "with good reason."
