People: Swift tops music awards with 6 AMA nominations

Taylor Swift says she is "absolutely walking on a cloud" over her six nominations for the American Music Awards.

"I've never been nominated six times for any award show," the country star said Tuesday before a benefit concert in Nashville. "This is just such a wonderful day for me."

Her tally, announced Tuesday, even beat late superstar Michael Jackson, who had five nods, and rapper Eminem, with four.

The 19-year-old is up for the AMA's big award, Artist of the Year, alongside Jackson, Eminem, Lady Gaga and rock band Kings of Leon.

"It's wonderful to be nominated in all genre categories," said Swift.

Her nominations include favorite female pop and country artist, favorite adult contemporary artist and favorite pop and country album for "Fearless," which has sold 3 million copies.

The nominees were selected through a combination of sales and radio airplay. American Music Award winners are determined by online fan voting and will be announced during a ceremony in Los Angeles on Nov. 22, which will be broadcast on ABC.

Liddell puts up a good fight

Ultimate Fighting champ Chuck Liddell has been knocked out of "Dancing With the Stars."

The 39-year-old athlete was eliminated from the ABC dance competition Tuesday.

"It's hard to do," he said. "I made a shot at it."

Liddell and his professional partner, Anna Trebunskaya, earned praise from the judges for their entertaining country two-step Monday, but the pair collected just 17 points out of 30 for the performance.

"You not so much danced but raided the two-step," judge Bruno Tonioli said. "You bring carnage and mayhem to everything you do."

Ten celebrity contestants remain on the ABC dance-off. Each is set to perform two dances on Monday.

Tate updates Shields image

Britain's Tate Modern museum has replaced a nude image of 10-year-old Brooke Shields with a photograph of the actress as an adult.

The Tate closed a room housing the "Spiritual America 1983" image by artist Richard Prince after a visit two weeks ago by a London police unit that deals with obscene publications.

The London museum said in a statement Wednesday that it has replaced the piece with a later version of the work made by Prince in collaboration with Shields called "Spiritual America IV 2005."

The new art work shows a photo of Shields in a bikini taken in 2005.
