It's Good to Be Bad: Monster Portraits of Villainy: Monsters, villains, and folks who are good at being bad will be represented in this art show of black and white monster airbrushed portraits by artist Lin Workman. These calmly malevolent lines paint the allegorical landscape of "Gorey Stories," a macabre assortment of tales, songs, and limericks from the gothic outpourings of writer-illustrator Edward Gorey. Age limit: 13 and older (contains some adult subject matters). Performances Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Through Nov. 1. "Keeping the Thrill Alive": The Architects Party featuring a mass dance to Michael's Jackson's masterpiece "Thriller." 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m. $20 in costume, $25 no costume. The Woodruff Fontaine House Museum presents An Evening of Haunted Happenings: 7, 8 and 9 p.m. at Woodruff Fontaine House Museum, 680 Adams Ave. Tour tickets $10 per person. Three ghost tours of the house are offered. Evening will feature tales of one of Memphis' most famous ghosts -- Mollie Woodruff -- as well as guided tours of the house. "Halloween Hollow": 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Heartsong Church, 800 Houston Levee Road, Cordova. Come with or without costumes to the 30 acre wooded campus of Heartsong for carnival games, carved pumpkin contest, pet costume contest, adult costume contest, hay wagon rides and a bonfire with S'mores. An added feature: free children's theater with performances 11 a.m. and noon. Also, safe and secure trick-or-treating. Halloween on Mud Island: Mud Island River Park (125 N. Front) will be transformed into the spookiest place in town on Halloween night. 6:30-8:30 p.m. rain or shine. Cost $2 per person.
