A casting call for the family-friendly horse movie that is scheduled to be shot this month in Memphis has been rescheduled for Saturday because of the ice storm this past weekend.
The casting call will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Crossway Church, 2633 Altruria Rd. in Bartlett. For updates or more information, visit casting director Lisa Lax on Facebook or call her at 901-246-8249.
Oscar-winning star Ernest Borgnine, 93, and Armand Assante, 60, are among the more familiar actors cast in the currently untitled production, said Los Angeles director Jonathan Meyers. Also coming to Memphis will be several veteran movie horses.
The movie was scheduled to be called “Fandango,” but that title was discarded, to avoid confusion with Fandango.com, the popular online movie ticket service. Memphis writer Keith Suggs, 58, collaborated on the script with the story's originator, Fayette County businessman and champion Paso Fino rider Dennis Sonnenschein.
