Actor Charlie Sheen's stolen Mercedes-Benz was found overturned hundreds of feet down a cliff near his Sherman Oaks home early Friday, but there's no evidence anyone was in the car when it went into the ravine, police said.

Police got an emergency call around 4 a.m. from an OnStar-style alert system that notifies emergency officials when there is a problem with the vehicle that may require assistance.

At about the same time, Sheen called police to say his four-door Mercedes-Benz had been stolen, Officer Bruce Borihanh said.

"They've looked all around the hillside. There's nobody in the car, nobody around (and no) evidence of anybody being around at the moment of impact," Borihanh said.

"It's being treated as an auto theft investigation," he said.

Calls to Sheen's publicists seeking comment were not immediately returned.

Farrow on Haiti's children

UNICEF goodwill ambassador Mia Farrow has criticized as "deplorable" attempts to take children out of Haiti illegally after last month's devastating earthquake.

The U.S. actress says groups or individuals who want to help Haiti's children should support orphanages or their families inside the country.

Farrow, who herself has adopted 11 children, says offering parents a better life for their children elsewhere is "completely unacceptable and immoral."

Model pics and numbers don't mix

An Australian banker who was caught on live TV looking at photos of scantily clad model Miranda Kerr will not lose his job, the bank said Friday.

Macquarie Bank worker Dave Kiely was at his desk as a colleague was being interviewed about interest rates when the camera showed him apparently opening e-mail attachments of nearly nude photos of the model.

The clip became a YouTube hit and other media broadcast it during prime-time Tuesday.

The Australia-born Kerr, 26, who is engaged to "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Orlando Bloom, had said she hoped Kiely would not lose his job.

On Friday, Macquarie said in a statement it had completed an internal review and Kiely would keep his job.
