A woman accused of burglarizing Paris Hilton's house was charged Thursday with more counts after appearing in court wearing a stolen necklace belonging to Lindsay Lohan.
Prosecutors charged Courtney Leigh Ames, 19, with two counts of receiving stolen property.
The amended complaint accused Ames of wearing a necklace taken from Lohan's home to a December court hearing where she pleaded not guilty to burglarizing Hilton's home.
Ames is one of six people accused of being part of a ring that targeted homes of celebrities and stole high-end fashion and jewelry. Victims included Hilton, Lohan and other stars such as Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson, Megan Fox, Ashley Tisdale and "The Hills" celebrity Audrina Patridge.
Authorities last week charged Rachel J. Lee with felony burglary for break-ins at the homes of Patridge, Lohan and Hilton. Police have accused her of being the group's mastermind and selecting celebrity targets.
Mischa Barton sued over rent
Mischa Barton's landlord says the actress is refusing to pay rent on her $7,000-a-month apartment in New York City.
Landlord M.R.A. Realties Inc. says in a lawsuit that Barton rebuffed efforts to collect the last three months' worth of rent on her flat in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood.
Barton's representatives had no immediate response. The landlord wants Barton to pay the rent and legal fees.
Barton, 23, also lives in Los Angeles. The lawsuit filed Thursday says her one-year lease on the Manhattan apartment began in September. At the time, she was in "The Beautiful Life," a CW series about the New York models. The show was canceled in September. She rose to fame playing Marissa Cooper on Fox's teen drama "The O.C.".
Cher's Hawaii home sold for $8.7M
A luxury real estate auction company reports that Cher's Hawaii home overlooking the Pacific Ocean has been sold to an Arizona buyer for $8.7 million.
Concierge Auctions said Thursday that the home was one of five Big Island residences auctioned Monday for a total of $19.4 million.
The firm had estimated Cher's three-quarter-acre property was worth between $8 million and $12 million.
Located in the Hualalai Resort, the 8,800-square-foot Balinese-style residence features a gated center courtyard leading to the main residence. It includes a master wing, great room, kitchen, dining room, outdoor living area, and infinity pool with spa overlooking the resort's golf course.
