The Memphis music community is continuing its efforts to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
Following a series of charity concerts last week, the Memphis Afro-American Police Association is staging a fund-raising event on Thursday at the Whitehaven Celebration Complex at 3270 Elvis Presley Blvd.
Southern soul and R&B stars Willie Clayton and Bobby Rush are among the headliners who will be taking the stage starting at 6 p.m.
Others set to appear and perform include Sheba Potts Wright, Billy “Soul” Bond, and Falisa Janaye.
All proceeds from the event will go to help Haitian relief efforts. For more information contact Bill Wilchie with the Whitehaven Celebration Complex at 691-0736.
