Chatterbox Audio Theater has released another installment in its original audio series based on myths and legends from world culture.
"The Aesir and the Building of the Wall," the story of the Norse gods' search for a home, is the third episode in the group's "Mythologia" series.
The free, 25-minute program by the Memphis-based recording company is available at chatterboxtheater.org, or subscribe to the company's podcasts on iTunes. Local voice actors are featured on 32 different programs, ranging from adult thrillers to children's stories.

Auction raises money for film events
"Reel Art," an auction of film-inspired works created by local artists to benefit On Location: Memphis, will take place at 7 p.m. Friday at Marshall Arts Gallery, 639 Marshall Ave.
Proceeds from the sale of each work will be split between the artist and On Location: Memphis, a nonprofit organization that coordinates various film events, including the annual On Location: Memphis International Film Fest, set this year for April 22-25 at Malco's Ridgeway Four.
The Reel Art event also will include performances by area musicians and the projection of locally produced films throughout the gallery.
Another On Location: Memphis event will be a festival preview party, to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. March 26 at Sue Layman Designs, 125 E. G.E. Patterson, in conjunction with the South Main Arts District's Trolley Night activities.

Toast a new season
Actors and quaffers come together on March 27 for Germantown Community Theatre's "Taste of the Season" fundraiser.
During this wine tasting and silent auction, actors will perform scenes from upcoming shows. Guests can try to guess the shows for the 2010-2011 season.
The event is 6-8:30 p.m. at GCT, 3037 Forest Hill-Irene Road. Tickets are $50 in advance or $75 at the door. Call 754-2680.

Opera youth auditions
Opera Memphis will hold auditions for its two summer conservatory programs next weekend.
The junior and senior conservatories immerse young singers in the world of opera, from staging a full-length production to master classes in voice from world-renowned artists such as Kallen Esperian and Greer Grimsley.
Students, ages 8 to 20, are asked to prepare one selection in classical vocal music, with or without accompaniment. A piano accompanist will be provided or a CD may be used.
Auditions are 4-6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Clark Opera Memphis Center, 6745 Wolf River Parkway. No appointments are necessary. For more information, call Sarah Squire, director of education and outreach, at 202-4548.
