The makers of the rock-and-roll comedy movie "Losers Take All" are seeking extras to portray the fans of a fictional 1980s punk-pop band in a concert sequence to be filmed starting at about 2 p.m. Saturday, on the movie's final day of shooting in Memphis.

Local casting director Abby Elzemeyer said the filmmakers are seeking about 100 men and women of all ethnic backgrounds, between the ages of 18 and 35, for the unpaid day's work.

Set in the mid-1980s, the scene represents the climax of the movie, when the fictional band, The Fingers, opens for The Replacements at a Memphis nightclub. Actors expected to be present include Kyle Gann ("Veronica Mars"), Aaron Himelstein ("Joan of Arcadia"), Billy Kay ("L.I.E."), Tania Raymonde ("Lost"), Allison Scagliotti ("Drake & Josh"), Adam Herschman ("Accepted"), Peter Brensinger and Alexia Rasmussen. The director is Alex Steyermark.

To prevent crowds, Elzemeyer said, the filmmakers want to keep the location of the final day's work secret, except from participants.

Extras will be eligible for raffle prizes throughout the day, including gift certificates to local restaurants, stores and sporting events. Free beer will be available for those 21 and older. There also will be live music and comedy.

Would-be extras should send photos and contact information to LTAcastingmemphis@gmail.com, or call 324-3424.

Also, the filmmakers are seeking unmodified cars from the 1970s through 1988 for use in the film. The same e-mail address and phone number apply.
