Country crossover singer Lee Ann Womack and folk luminary Peter Yarrow are among the acts coming to the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center for its 2011-12 season.

"We're happy to kick off our 13th season with Lee Ann, who has such talent and crossover popularity," said Ron Jewell, director of BPACC.

Womack, a winner of five Academy of Country Music Awards and numerous other honors, performs Aug. 20.

Yarrow, a member of the 1960s folk group Peter, Paul and Mary and co-author of "Puff, the Magic Dragon," appears Oct. 7.

Besides Yarrow, other artists in the Showcase Series include Roger McGuinn, frontman for the 1960s rock group The Byrds; Irish vocalist/harpist Orla Fallon; balladeer and multiple Grammy-winner Christopher Cross; and country singer Pam Tillis.

"This is another season with some folks who we haven't had before," Jewell said. "We like to bring folks to the Memphis market for the first time, especially if they're well known."

Jewell said some of the offerings are expanding.

The Theatrekids Conservatory is back for a second year for students ages 10-16 to create theatrical productions. Last season, it did "The Wiz," but this season it will have two productions, including one that introduces youngsters to circus performance.

"'Starfish Circus' will actually have some aerial work and acrobatics," Jewell said.

And the intimate Theatrestage series, which puts the audience on the stage with the production, will have three offerings this season, up from two in past years. Upcoming programs include "Hallelujah Girls," "The Mousetrap" and "Barefoot in the Park."

The cabaret-style Dinnerstage series returns with a variety of acts, including local singer Susan Marshall, who share the stage with dining patrons.

Other family-oriented entertainment includes returns of the Missoula Children's Theatre and the Bartlett Community Concert Band.

Subscription tickets go on sale June 1. For subscription and ticket information, call BPACC at 385-6440, or go to bpacc.org.
