Bluegrass/jazz banjoist Béla Fleck will be the "surprise" guest during the opening night of the Levitt Shell's free fall concert series this evening.

Shell officials have confirmed that the Grammy award winning Fleck will be performing as part of the set by his wife and fellow banjoist Abigail Washburn.

Hailed for his work leading the New Grass Revival and the Flecktones, Fleck's most recent album Throw Down Your Heart: Africa Sessions Part 2, won a Grammy this year for Best Contemporary World Music Album.

Washburn is performing in support of her sophomore effort, City of Refuge. Fleck and Washburn have been married since 2009.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. For more information go to levittshell.org
