Auditions for the next season of the NBC-TV series "America's Got Talent" will be held Dec. 11 at the Memphis Cook Convention Center.
Memphis is one of 11 remaining sites talent scouts with the program will visit. After Memphis, representatives of the series will travel to Nashville for auditions on Dec. 13.
"Every type of performer is welcome," according to Alli Krohn Smith of NBC publicity, including "musicians, dance crews, magicians, contortionists, comedians, singers, jugglers, animal acts and everything in between."
The top act of the season will win $1 million and a slot as a headliner in a Las Vegas show.
To be accepted for an audition, performers should register at agtauditions.com or nbc.com/agt. More information also is available at those websites.
