"The Club": By Eve Merriam; with songs from 1894-1905 arranged by Alexandra Ivanoff. A group of gentlemen gathers at an upper-class men's club to drink, smoke, plan the spring follies ... but these gentlemen may not be all that they appear. "In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play": Sarah Ruhl's drama/comedy, set in the 19th century at the dawn of the age of electricity, is about an unusual new therapy to treat "hysterical" women. Play not recommended for children. "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill": Starring Joyce Cobb. The time is 1959. The place is a seedy bar in Philadelphia. The audience is about to witness one of Billie Holiday's last performances, given four months before her death. 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays (2 p.m. Jan. 14 matinee show); 3 p.m. Sundays through Jan. 22. "M.A.R.K." ("Memphis Artists Remember King"): Bluff City Tri Art Theatre, a woman-centered theatre, presents its annual commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. The talents of a diverse group of artists will grace the stage with performances that focus on Dr. King's civil rights mission. Artists include Christine Telford, Precious Morris, Cheryl Wolder, Ivory Smith, Olivia R. Johnson. Shows: 7 p.m. Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday & Monday.
