Demi Moore took something before she was rushed to the hospital on Monday night and was convulsing and "semiconscious, barely," according to a caller on a frantic 911 recording released Friday by Los Angeles fire officials.

The woman tells emergency operators that Moore, 49, had been "having issues lately."

"Is she breathing normal?" the operator asks.

"No, not so normal. More kind of shaking, convulsing, burning up," the friend says as she hurries to Moore's side, on the edge of panic.

When the operator asks what Moore ingested or smoked, the friend replies, but the answer was redacted.

Media reports Friday said Moore had inhaled nitrous oxide from whipped cream chargers, known as "whip-its." Also called laughing gas, nitrous oxide is commonly used in dentists' offices before dental procedures.

Jackson questions Grammy cuts

Jesse Jackson is entering the fray over The Recording Academy's cuts to its Grammy categories: He's asking to meet with the president of the organization and has raised the possibility of protests with the awards less than two weeks away.

The civil rights activist sent a letter to Neil Portnow, president and CEO of the Academy, and expressed his dismay over the academy's decision last April to cut its categories from 109 to 78, the biggest overhaul in its then 53-year history.

In a statement Friday, Portnow said he was willing to talk with Jackson.

Among changes The Academy decided on last year: elimination of some of the instrumental categories in pop, rock and country; traditional gospel; children's spoken-word album; Zydeco or Cajun music album; and best classical crossover album.

The Grammys take place Feb. 12 in Los Angeles.

Winslet up for honorary award

British actress Kate Winslet is to receive an honorary award next month from organizers of the French equivalent of the Academy Awards.

The versatile 36-year-old now on French screens in Roman Polanski's clashing-couples film "Carnage" will receive the honorary Cesar at the ceremony on Feb. 24.

France's Academy of Cinematic Arts and Techniques presented nominations for the 37th Cesar Awards ceremony on Friday.

Unreleased ABBA cut on way

Mamma Mia, here they go again.

ABBA fans will soon again be saying "Thank you for the music" with the release of a new track on a special edition of the disbanded '70s pop group's album The Visitors.

The record, including new track "From a Twinkling Star to a Passing Angel," is the first official new release by the Swedish group in 18 years.

Universal Music Group said Friday that the special edition of The Visitors -- originally released in 1981 -- will be available in stores from April 23.
