Acclaimed Memphis documentary 'Undefeated' released on DVD

A Memphis movie that earned much more publicity than “AS:VS — At Stake: Vampire Solutions” also arrives on disc Tuesday.

“Undefeated,” the inspirational behind-the-scenes story of volunteer coach Bill Courtney and the underfunded inner-city Manassas High School Tigers football team, is now available on DVD and Blu-ray from Anchor Bay Entertainment.

The Weinstein Company release won the Academy Award last year for Best Documentary Feature and earned acclaim from critics as well as fans. (The movie “had me crying like a baby,” Sean “Diddy” Combs told The New York Times.)

The Blu-ray and DVD include an audio commentary with directors Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin, a “Making of Undefeated” featurette, and deleted scenes.
