For eight impressive seasons, actor Vincent D’Onofrio has captivated and sometimes annoyed viewers as know-it-all detective Robert Goren on the NBC/USA drama “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” A spinoff of the original “Law & Order,” the series has given D’Onofrio the platform to saunter around and confront murder and robbery suspects with a wild blend of evidence, conjecture and an antagonistic invasion of personal space that can only be described as disconcerting.

Miley Cyrus' 16th birthday party was more boisterous than sweet. Cyrus celebrated the hallmark birthday at an over-the-top Disneyland celebration this week -- even though she doesn't actually turn 16 until Nov. 23. The accolades keep coming for America Ferrera. The Emmy-winning star of "Ugly Betty" is now the Hispanic Woman of the Year, the Hollywood Reporter and Billboard announced Thursday. Memphis-born actor William Sanderson knows something about the diabolical forces and addictions that plague the residents of small-town Bon Temps, La., in his hit vampire series, "True Blood," which returns at 8 p.m. Sunday for a second season of bloodsucking, shapeshifting, devil-exorcising and lots and lots of HBO's signature R-rated whoopee-making. "It always involved drinking," Sanderson, 65, said of the off-screen demons that used to destabilize his life and career.

Ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich wasn’t allowed to appear in a network TV reality show in Costa Rica, so his wife will appear instead.
A federal judge barred Blagojevich, who faces federal corruption charges, from being on the NBC show “I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here” because it would send him out of the country. But his wife Patti accepted an offer from the network to and went to Los Angeles earlier this week to film a promotional shoot, said Glenn Selig, the Blagojevichs’ publicist.

ABC is reviving “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” this summer, complete with host Regis Philbin.
A decade after “Millionaire” became a smash hit, it will return to prime time as an 11-night event, says ABC. It premieres Aug. 9, concluding Aug. 23.
