Sweet Grass expanded a couple of months ago, but kept it hush-hush, co-owner/chef Ryan Trimm said, until they knew that Sweet Grass Next Door was running as smoothly as the original restaurant.
Now the word is out. Sweet Grass Next Door is open daily 11 a.m.- 11 p.m. (sometimes later on weekends), takes no reservations, and is a bit more casual than Sweet Grass. The menu includes small plates from the Sweet Grass menu, the Sweet Grass lunch menu items (such as the fried green tomato and bacon sandwich), and some items exclusive to that side of the house, such as chicken and waffles and charcuterie.
There are plenty of TVs for sports fans, too.
Hours have changed at Sweet Grass, which is now open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner and for Sunday brunch. Call 278-0278 for more information; 937 S. Cooper.
