Biography
Chris Van Tuyl joined The Commercial Appeal as a sports clerk in May 1999. In January 2000, he became a DeSoto Appeal sports reporter. He now is a DeSoto general assignments reporter. Prior to arriving in the Mid-South, he was a freelancer for the Austin American-Statesman. He graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Chris is married to former Marla Nalley of Southaven.-
