BiographyMichigan native Nikki Boertman is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, interned at the Grand Rapids (MI) Press, The Hays (Kan.) Daily News, and The Ann Arbor (Mich.) News. She was a staff photographer for the Gainesville (Fla.) Sun and The Midland (Mich.) Daily News before joining the Commercial Appeal staff in 1998. A career highlight was covering the career of Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders. Here's a slideshow of some of her work at The Commercial Appeal.
