J.Alexander's is our go-to place when we don't feel like cooking. The menu is very good and I have only been disappointed once (veggie burger). Their appetizers leave room for improvement, but if they have the smoked salmon dip for a special that night, GET IT. It's *so* good.

The prime rib sandwich is pretty tasty, as well as the rib eye, crab cakes, fish sandwich, cheeseburger and even the chicken fingers. The mac & cheese is some of the best around - living up to its name as "Not your ordinary mac & cheese".

For dessert (if you have room) try the carrot cake. It's very fresh and yummy. The service is always very professional. No one's going to come and sit down beside you while they take your order here. (my pet peeve)

Great food, but I do find the tables to be a little close to each other. Not a very intimate restaurant in my opinion.

I love Ruth's Chris. Is there any better smell than when they bring that sizzling steak topped with butter to your table? The sides are excellent - creamed spinach, sweet potatoes, asparagus...YUM. Always a pleaser.

This place gets 10's across the board. If it's not on the menu, they will make it for you! Patty is the quentessential hostess in that she goes out of her way to make every patron feel welcomed and special. The food is divine and the service is impeccable... and they make a pretty good Cosmo to boot.

You're pretty sure to get a great steak and great service on a visit to Folks Folly. The veal chop and lobster are good too. The icing on the cake is a private room and Rose for your server.

I went about a month and a half ago (I guess it had just opened)and was not particularly impressed. The items all seemed to have the same flavor going. Lots of chipotle mayonaise here...not that I don't love the stuff! A little variety would be nice, though! I ordered the steak philly and it was about what I expected. My date ordered a chicken sandwich..something with avocado on it, and it was good. The vibe is supposed to be cool, and to some it may be. To me it was like TGIFridays with techno. Tuning the xm radio to a different station could make a world of difference.
My server was young and when I asked for a glass of chardonnay he actually asked me if that was "the white stuff". Other than that, he was very polite and accomodating. The patio that was advertised only consists of 2 tables, which was a disappointment, as outside dining in Cordova is a little hard to find. All in all it was okay. Maybe they just need a little time to tweak things.
