in response to wfatstein57#683061: I work for Crew One,the local stage crew,we set up all the equipment for all the concerts that come through Memphis.Last night,i got a chance to meet Kris, he was cool,Anoop,a little shy,Lil,my home girl, gave her a hug, told her i was proud of her,she was nice,Micheal was a little dry,Danny,i got a little emotional because of his wife passing, gave him a handshake and a hug,but when i met Adam,he was funny as hell with his sense of humor, very friendly, laid back, cool, very open to conversation, and very appreciative of my praise for him.I felt good knowing that i had met the next great superstar in our lifetime, because thats what he will become.

You're a gentleman and your post has been a pleasure to read. Thank you.
in response to Coral: This is a great review. While Kris and Adam's styles are different, and not everyone will like the same thing, Kris' style appeals to a wider audience. But more importantly to me, while Adam is more of a performer, Kris is the artist and musician. I feel more of a connection with Kris, because with him, it's all about the music. With Adam, it's all about the visual, which is why his style works better on stage and in person, but he'll have problems getting that to translate through his album and on the radio. For me and my taste, Kris is about all substance and Adam is mostly about stlye. And not that it will matter to those who flood internet sites to comment on anything remotely related to Adam Lambert, but I'm gay. Just because someone doesn't like Adam Lambert's style of music, that doesn't make them homophobic.

Coral you are absolutely right that just because you don't like Adam Lamberts style of music, it does not make you homphobic.
However, the 'Liberace' comment was not borne out of objectivity or the substance of critical review. It was a cheap shot.
What an interesting 'review' Mr Blank. The most detail you provided on Adam Lamberts performance was a vaguely homophobic slur about his choice of outfit.
What you conspicuously failed to mention, was that Adam Lambert has received overwhelming, almost evangelical crowd support in Memphis and has achieved this on every other night, at every single venue so far on this 'Idol' tour.
HE is the person the crowds and the press are clamouring for.
You then have the temerity to dismiss his extraordinary range and power as 'shrieking'. I think the accusation you levelled at Mr Lambert of self indulgence is one you are more than familiar with yourself.
If the 'American Idol demographic' is almost exclusively resident in Arkansas, then you are indeed correct in your assertion that Kris Allen plays for them, they after all secured his win .
I'm sorry that vanilla is the order of the day for you, it really isn't for anybody who recognizes and is not afraid to acknowledge, sheer raw energy, creativity and insane talent.
I'm sure the 'Idol demographic' you are attempting to appease will eat up your tasteless soup. I personally prefer the a la carte menu and Adam Lambert is definitely dish of the day.
